Liz Sheridan, an actress perhaps best known for playing Jerry Seinfeld’s mother on Seinfeld, was working as a dancer in New York City in the early 1950s when she met a then unknown James Dean. The two became a couple and Sheridan has stated that they were engaged. She wrote a memoir of their romance entitled Dizzy & Jimmy: My Life with James Dean: A Love Story.
